Care Packages for PICU Parents
We celebrated Corbin’s 5th and 6th month milestones at the hospital. We were faced with a lot of uncertainties during those two months but we had many moments of optimism. We showered every few days, ate when we found a chance to leave the room, and quietly played cribbage on the uncomfortable pull-out couch after Corbin’s bedtime.
We want to provide relief to families enduring long hospital stays with care packages that include snacks, personal care and comfort items as well as activities to keep busy.
With a $50 donation, one care package will be delivered to a family member staying bedside with their child in the PICU at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
With a $100 donation, one care package will be given to a family who has recently lost their child.
Care Packages for Bereaved Families
Leaving the hospital and arriving home without Corbin was devastating. We remember sitting in Scott’s truck in the driveway, hesitant to go inside, knowing how quiet it would be and recognizing the difficult path ahead. Our hope for these families is to leave the hospital with some sense of comfort, knowing they are not alone in this journey.
